It starts from C and proceeds clockwise up to B, as if it were an ellipse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The semitones that divide the notes between the intervals must always be the same as those obtained with the intervals of the C scale.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table aligncenter immagine1 is-style-stripes\"><table><tbody><tr><td class=\"has-text-align-center\" data-align=\"center\">Interval Grade<strong> \u2192<\/strong> semitons <\/td><td class=\"has-text-align-center\" data-align=\"center\">Interval<\/td><\/tr><tr><td class=\"has-text-align-center\" data-align=\"center\"><strong>2\u00b0 \u2192 2<\/strong><\/td><td class=\"has-text-align-center\" data-align=\"center\"><strong>C &#8211; D<\/strong><\/td><\/tr><tr><td class=\"has-text-align-center\" data-align=\"center\"><strong>3\u00b0 \u2192 4<\/strong><\/td><td class=\"has-text-align-center\" data-align=\"center\"><strong>C &#8211; E<\/strong><\/td><\/tr><tr><td class=\"has-text-align-center\" data-align=\"center\"><strong>4\u00b0 \u2192 5<\/strong><\/td><td class=\"has-text-align-center\" data-align=\"center\"><strong>C &#8211; F<\/strong><\/td><\/tr><tr><td class=\"has-text-align-center\" data-align=\"center\"><strong>5\u00b0 \u2192 7<\/strong><\/td><td class=\"has-text-align-center\" data-align=\"center\"><strong>C &#8211; G<\/strong><\/td><\/tr><tr><td class=\"has-text-align-center\" data-align=\"center\"><strong>6\u00b0 \u2192 9<\/strong><\/td><td class=\"has-text-align-center\" data-align=\"center\"><strong>C &#8211; A<\/strong><\/td><\/tr><tr><td class=\"has-text-align-center\" data-align=\"center\"><strong><strong>7\u00b0 \u2192 11<\/strong><\/strong><\/td><td class=\"has-text-align-center\" data-align=\"center\"><strong>C &#8211; B<\/strong><\/td><\/tr><tr><td class=\"has-text-align-center\" data-align=\"center\"><strong>8\u00b0 \u2192 12<\/strong><\/td><td class=\"has-text-align-center\" data-align=\"center\"><strong>C &#8211; C<\/strong><\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><figcaption>Table 2<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The interval obtained by inverting the notes is defined as reciprocal: for the interval C - E the reciprocal is E - C.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Fundamental theorem of music theory: an interval added to its reciprocal is always equal to 9 <\/strong>(in the case of the 8th, the reciprocal interval can be considered as 1\u00b0).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>C - F is an interval of 4\u00b0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>F - C is an interval of 5\u00b0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>4+5 = 9<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The intervals of 4th, 5th and 8th are called Perfect<\/strong> and admit only the augmented or the diminished as main variants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>For the perfect intervals, the reciprocal is always a major interval.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The 4 \u00b0 interval has 5 semitones, the 5 \u00b0 interval has 7 semitones. Refer to Table 2.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The reciprocals are respectively: interval of 5 \u00b0 with 7 semitones and interval of 4 \u00b0 with 5 semitones, and as can be seen from Table 2, they are major intervals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The interval with one semitone more is defined as augmented, while the one with one semitone less is called diminished (compared to what is obtained from the C scale):<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>4\u00b0 diminished \u2192 4 semitones;<\/li><li>4\u00b0 perfect \u2192 5 semitones;<\/li><li>4\u00b0 augmented \u2192 6 semitones.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>All other intervals are called major <\/strong>(or minor) because they do not mathematically admit the perfect value.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>C - E is an interval of 3 \u00b0 major.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>E - C is a 6 \u00b0 interval minor .<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>3<sup>+ <\/sup>+ 6<sup>&#8211; <\/sup>= 9. note.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>In linea di massima gli accordi prendono il nome dagli intervalli particolari che lo compongono.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>L&#8217;intervallo di 3\u00b0 definisce se l&#8217;accordo \u00e8 maggiore o minore.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>L&#8217;intervallo di 5\u00b0 solitamente non si utilizza per denominare l&#8217;accordo, ma a volte si pu\u00f2 usa per identificare le varianti: eccedente e diminuito.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>L&#8217;intervallo di 7\u00b0, se c&#8217;\u00e8, crea accordi denominati \u201cSettima\u201d e possono essere anche eccedenti e diminuiti.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>L&#8217;intervallo
